Good DALnet rooms to try first
Here are some good channels on DALnet to try first. (Please note - the channels
listed below are merely for illustrative purposes.)
- #newbies -- channel for beginner IRC users.
- #irchelp -- channel for intermediate IRC users.
- #dragonrealm -- channel for advanced IRC users.
Help channels:
- #help -- DALnet Services help. For questions that relate to features belonging
exclusively to DALnet, including but not limited to Services e.g. registration, access
lists.
- #irchelp -- general IRC help. For questions regarding IRC fundamentals
and concepts like mode changes, actions, private messages, user modes. Basically
things in IRC that exist outside of Services.
- #mIRC -- the IRC client. For questions relating to the mIRC IRC client
(except questions involving .wav files).
- #winhelp -- Windows 3.x/windows 95 help
- #windows95 -- Windows 95 help
- #macintosh -- Macintosh help
- #linux -- Linux help
- #html -- WWW/CGI/Java help
- #ircii -- help with the unix ircii client
- #dragonrealm -- Administrative Assitance. For problems in which the assistance
of an IRCop or admin is absolutely necessary e.g. flooding, harassment, requiring
some kind of password.
