Program Descriptions

Reflections by the Bay
The Reflections series, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is offered every third Wednesday of the month (subject to change), is open to the public and is free of charge. It is held at the library.

Book Share Group
The Book Share Group meets the second Monday of the month at 9:00 a.m. at the library. The group meets for one hour. During that time each person takes a turn talking about their books. Attending Book Share group is a great way to hear about books you might not hear of otherwise.

eUsers Group
Due to the popularity of eReaders, the Benzie Shores Library Staff is offering an eReader’s Users Group as a way for patrons to share eReader tips and tricks. Other topics of discussion will be where to find books and other library resources. If you own an eReader or are thinking of purchasing one, please join our group as we discover the exciting world of eBooks.

Great Books Discussions
The Great Books Discussion Group meets every other Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the library. The readings are from the Great Books Foundaton anthologies and the Foundation format is followed. At every meeting an assigned reading is discussed. The discussion is always challenging and thuoght provoking.
Stop in at the library to borrow a copy of the current anthology, "Great Conversations, Vol. 1." Since each discussion is complete and each meeting has a new reading, it is easy to join the group even if you are unable to attend every discussion.

Story Hour with Miss Julie
Stories, songs, puppets, crafts, and more. All ages welcome. Times vary. Please check the calendar above for the next story hour.

After School Gaming
Children in grades K-6 are welcome to bring their handheld gaming devices (Nintendo DS, PSP, Leapster, etc.) to the library and enjoy games with peers. The library has a Nintendo DS available for anyone who does not have one. ESRB rated "EC" and "E" games only, please.

Open Wii
We've got a Nintendo Wii and a big screen. Come bowl or play some Mario Kart at the library. Fun for ALL ages.
